Be Healthy
Berry Material’s new fiscal year started April 1st. Our annual benefits meeting was this morning and we all came out of the meeting with hope for the future. We still don’t know what the economy is going to do, but a plan is in place no matter what happens. We are a strong company and will remain so in the future.
Berry Companies is adopting a “Be Healthy” attitude across all divisions. Free health screenings, not only for the employees, but also for the family members of our employees. The numbers are staggering for undetected heart disease, diabetes, stress related illnesses, etc.
If these free health screenings help one person discover a health issue that they didn’t know about, we have helped that one person become healthier, happier and a better employee.
Berry Companies philosophy is to give back as much as possible to the communities where we are located. By giving something back to our employees we are accomplishing two things:
1. A better employee, with fewer sick days, and
2. A stronger more educated person in our community that can in turn help someone else.
